Sankatahara Chathurthi -2026

Sankatahara Chaturthi (or Sankashti Chaturthi) is a significant monthly Hindu observance dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, occurring on the fourth day (Chaturthi) of the waning moon (Krishna Paksha) each month. Devotees fast from sunrise, break their fast after moonrise with Ganesha puja, seeking blessings to overcome life's troubles (Sankata). A highly auspicious day is Angaraki Chaturthi, which falls when Sankatahara coincides with a Tuesday.
